    1. [SCGREENV] Courthouse Hours and Records Stored There
    2. Dear List Members, Could someone tell me a few things about the County Courthouse. I'll be in Greenville on the 21st and want to do some research there in during the timeframe of 1780 - 1820. Where is the Courthouse located in association to the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville where I'll be all day? What are the hours of operation? Does the Courthouse still have all the original books from the 1780-1820 timeframe that would record a person's death and how their estate was handled (i.e. Probate Court Minutes, Inventories, Estate Books, or Loose Probate Files)? I want to collect all documents pertaining to a Surname of mine that may have died during the 1780-1820 timeframe before the family moved to Tennessee and Alabama. I have all their lands records as recorded in the Conveyance Books on microfilm at the library in Greenville from a previous trip, but I'm interested in Deaths and Estates of my family on this trip to Greenville. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Robert C. Johnston, Jr. 139 Eagle Creek Drive Wetumpka, AL 36092 USA rcj@mindspring.com
