Pat, Thanks for posting the information about the cemetery. I grew up in the Brandon Community in the 1940s and I don't remember anything about a cemetery. I plan to drive over that way and perhaps it will come back to me. The way I remember was that there were about 4 families of SMITHs at Brandon and none of us seemed to be related. My Dad always said there were more Smiths in the world than anything else and none of them would claim kin with the others. (Just kidding, of course.) It would be interesting to trace them back 'till they all did connect. I'm trying.
