I am looking for info on HOLDER and WEAVER families that lived in the same area. They moved into the area by abt 1790, maybe a bit earlier. Desperately seeking parents of Lewis HOLDER, b. 1814, but there was an earlier Lewis HOLDER as well as Solomon, Jesse, etc. Also desperately seeking parents of Hester Elizabeth WEAVER, believed to be fr. the same area and possibly all or part Cherokee. Many thanks, Dolores Miller Pringle -----Original Message----- From: Mapmaker3@aol.com [mailto:Mapmaker3@aol.com] Sent: Monday, March 11, 2002 5:11 PM To: SCGREENV-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [SCGREENV] Re: North Greenville Co. Early Settlers Robert and Wla, I've been researching my JOHNSTON, YOUNG, and PARKER ancestors along the northern branches of the Saluda River in north Greenville District, SC for three years and I am sorry to report that there are only scattered reference works giving details of settlers in that region between the Revolutionary War and 1820. I would recommend you contact the staff of the Greenville Public Library who have been helpful to me through the mails. Please tell us the names of your respective ancestors and you might get lucky! Of course, if their names are JOHNSTON, JOHNSON, YOUNG, PARKER, NORRIS, or HUDSON, I will want to talk to you. My ancestors had nearly all moved on west by 1820.
