Wife Elizabeth to receive all moneys, notes, goods and chattels, during her natural life or widowhood and at her death or before if she sees fit to be divided equally between " my three children, viz, Thomas, Elizabeth, and James..but I wish Thomas and Elizabeth to give their Nephew John Stradley one hundred dollars each out of their portion...when he arrives at the age of twenty one years..also I likewise make and ordain Thomas Roe and Samuel Gibson as my executors.." Agreement dated Oct 12, 1837, divides the property, Thomas Roe, Elizabeth Gibson and James Roe to each receive one thousand dollars, and that Elizabeth Duncan,"our mother", have the balance of the estate. Signed by Eliz Duncan, Thos Roe, James Roe and Samuel Gibson(husband of Elizabeth Roe), heirs. Elizabeth Duncan transferred the balance of the estate to Thos. Roe, Oct. 12, 1837, with a small annuity to be paid her. John Stradley, nephew, rec'd his 200.00 on 15 July 1839, presumably at the age of 21.
