Dear list Members, Does anybody know if there has ever been any research projects conducted on old Plantations that were located along the northern forks of the Saluda River in the old District between the Rev. War and 1820 time frame? Has the local Historical Society or Historical Commission done such a project. If so, has the reports and findings ever been published? I've discovered in the Conveyance books, that my ancestors owned a plantation along the Saluda River and I'd like to know if the old homestead is still standing. Any information or guidance in locating such research projects on old County plantations would be greatly appreciated. Robert C. Johnston, Jr. 139 Eagle Creek Drive Wetumpka, AL 36092 USA rcj@mindspring.com

You don't always have to enter a name you can enter a conuty , name , business or other history data and records if, on line at rootsweb, will come up.
