"Elock" may be a misspelling of "Aleck", and there may be a family tie to the surname "Eleck/Aleck/Elock" since there is a Barbara ELOCKS living there. Notice one son named "Horey." This is an old SC surname spelled "Horry" fr. the French Huguenots, and Horry County is located on the northern coast of SC and may indicate that this family is either related to the Horry family or that they came from the area of Horry County. Note that Ervin GRICE and his parents were born in NC which may mean SE part of NC just across the line from Horry County. Hope this helps! Dolores
