After reviewing old yearbooks they were able to positively identify the individual as William Henry Garrison who was in the Class of 1917 at Clemson Agricultural College. His academic efforts were in horticulture and he was from Anderson, SC. It appears that the photograph was mislabled with the wrong middle initial many years ago. I still haven't run into any of his family, but now that the name is corrected I hope that someone will have a match.
