This particular Cornelia Saxon was the daughter of John Jackson Saxon and Martha Shirley. Her children were all Gilstraps. I was in the process of looking her Gilstrap family up when I came across your query. Jackson and Martha appear in the 1870, Laurens Co, SC census, along with all but one of their children. My father, Dreeben Case Saxon, was raised by Aunt Cornelia and Uncle J.B. Please email me if you have any information on the family.
