She married Benjamin Moses WILSON (1812-1864) on January 7, 1836 in Calhoun County, Alabama. She died in Randolph Co. Arkansas in 1865. I'd like to learn who Mary's parents were, and to confirm the spelling of her surname which has been listed as Canada, Candida, Canady, Kanady, and other ways. Also recorded as Mary Ann Canada. The Wilson geneaology records show that she was half Cherokee, and was born in an Indian block house in Greenville Co, SC. Supposedly, her Anglo line comes from Italy, grandparents may have been Welsh. Her mother or father may have been named Kerr, Kaer, or Karr. Any new info. would be appreciated.
