    3. To Barbara Rutan and [email protected] I received your message thru the Greenville List listing Smith interests. I have a possible Smith connection in the Greenville Area. It is probable that my father's great grandfather was a John Smith and his wife was Narcissa. I found a John Smith and Narcissa in the 1880 Greenville Co, Census records, and a probate record for a John Smith in Greenville in 1891 with a son J. W. Smith. My Dad's grandfather was a John Wesley Smith. The ages are off, but that is not unusual in census data. I am reaching at straws to find the right John Smith. Do any of you have a John Smith who had connections to the Lexington Co. area prior to coming to Greenville. John Wesley Smiths DC states he was born in Lexington Co, SC. He later married and lives in Aiken Co, SC before moving to Augusta, Richmond Co. Ga. where my Dad, his grandson was born. Anything look familiar here. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barbara Rutan" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, April 04, 2005 8:47 PM Subject: Re: [SCGREENV] Re: SMITH, COX, GILBERTS > I have a Wylis N.
