His father was John Roberts from S.C. George married a lady by the name of Dicie ? they lived in Greenville ,proubly married there,left somewhere around the early 1840's and moved to Tuscaloosa,Al. George and Dicie took in his 1/2 brother Joshia Marion at the age of two in 1837 after the death of his father John and his wife Dosha O'Callhan. George was 20 or 21y/o at the time. George and Dicie/Dicey children were born in Al,Jacob,Marion,Emeline,Catherine,Martha.
