Maps and Driving Directions</A> Please look at this. I have been searching for 21 W. Bates street on many maps and I cannot find it. But this same site keeps coming up. It may Have been Bates at one time. It is now Beattie street. I have a map of every street in Greenville county. I cannot find it, and it doesn't come up on the searches I have made. I have studied the latest maps of the Greenville area and Sans Souci is not a part of the city of Greenville. The local mills were Poe, Woodside, Monaghan. Monaghan still operates at some capacity, maybe as storage or something. It is adjacent to Sans Souci community. There was never a mill at Sans Souci. However, Union Bleachery is in the community. It was textile, but didn't have the same structure as the other mills. It was also not into the same type of business as the cotton mills. They generally did dying and so forth only. Not the manufacturing of cloth and so forth that you find in the mill villges. My parents and us children lived in Sans Souci, Woodside, Monaghan, and Brandon at one time or another. I still have several relatives that live in the area. I get over there fairly often. I still live in the area. When I am over there I will look to see if it is there. When I am in the library I will look to see also. See ya, Larry
