Sans Souci is a residential area, but didn't it get it's name from a textile mill? I would have to ask my mother to be certain, but I think there was a Sans Souci Mill when I was a child, and like so many of them, it has closed, but the area still goes by that name. It is within the Greenville City limits. Hope this helps! If you can find a map of SC w/ an enlargement of Greenville, it will show you the exact location of Sans Souci. It is in the city and lies in the area betw/ Old Buncombe Rd. and Poinsett Hwy. (Hwy. 276). It would prob. help you just to see where it is. Godspeed...
