In 1857 she married James Brockman Westmoreland. I am trying to determine if she had a son prior to this marriage. If anyone has access to the 1860 census for Gvl County, would like to know if there is a male child living in the Alexander Fowler household or James Brockman Westmoreland household who is between the ages of 7 and 11. The male child I am looking for would later have his name changed to John James Moore. Whether as a Fowler his name was John, or perhaps James, is unknown. It is also possible that there are other Fowlers in Greenville County in 1860 who could have raised this child to the time he was adopted by the Moore family. Does anyone know the circumstances of Edith Fowler's death in 1861? Thanks so much! I have been looking for this child for a long time. He is my great grandfather.
