However, the person who has possession of the photo has no idea who the other people are in the photo. There are a few possibilities as to who these people could be. First, since Linc (without a left hand) is standing on the far right, I assume his family is on that end with him. Considering that another man is standing on the far left, I assume those around him are his family. Linc was living with his wife and children in the 1900 census, was in the Greenville County Jail in 1910, was back with his wife and children in 1920 and separated again from his wife in 1930. He was living with his cousin and his family in 1930, but his cousin was 20 years younger than him and I think this photo is older than that. Linc's best friend was his first cousin, Perry Dice Masters. Dice's parents, Ben and Pamelia Patterson Masters, raised Linc (he was Ben's sister Susan's illegitimate son with Ephraim Cassell) as their own. Dice was 13 years younger than Linc, but as I've heard from their descendants, they went everywhere together. I'm wondering if the family in this photo is the family of Dice and Mamie Masters. This photo was more than likely taken in Cleveland, Greenville Co., SC. If ANYONE can tell me who these people are in the attached photo, I certainly would appreciate it. Hope to hear from someone soon! -Dana Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
