(Dunklin was where she grew up) in 1872 or 1873. our Mary Davenport had her first child in May of 1874. I'm not certain that the Mary Davenport I found in the 1870 census in Dunklin is ours, but she's about the closest match I can find. our Mary married John C. Hilton. I'd like to know one way or another whether I'm on the right or wrong trail with Mary, daughter of Francis and Winnie Davenport, and Mary who married John C. My great-grandmother was Mary Ann Davenport, daughter of Francis Davenport and Winnie B. Chapman.? She married General Griffin Cason August 13, 1874 in Greenville County, SC near Ware Place.?
