Rev War pension filings. Benjamin was married in Randolph County, NC in 1776 according to the pension filing (where Jacob Clearwater was living according to the 1779 Tax records before moving to guilford before 1790). Pension records say Benjamin enlisted and fought in Virginia. Also in 1818 says he was 78 thus born 1740 so he would be an older brother. However is wife claims he was insane so some of his details may not be accurate. Benjamin lived most of his life in TN although not Greene.
