Morgan who was born about 1843 in Greenville, SC. He later lived in Burke Co., NC before enlisting in the Civil War on 5/28/1861 in Mecklenburg Co., NC at the age of 18. Was originally in the 6th NC Co. D, but joined the U.S. Army on 2/19/1864 of the 1st U.S. Volunteer Infantry, Co. E. His first name may vary. I suspect his middle name may be Abner.
