    3. I looked at the early maps of the county that we have and don't see a Pyles Branch of the Reedy, I'm afraid. I did poke around and find a plat from 1814 that mentions the "Pyles branch of Reedy fork waters of Reedy River". The Reedy Fork is a branch of the river in the southern part of the county -- it runs roughly parallel to the main waters of the Reedy and joins the river at the town of Fork Shoals. Sorry I can't find you anything more specific!
