    3. Most cemeteries in Greenville County are either church or family cemeteries. Most of the large cemeteries are owned by corporations/funeral homes. The possible exception is Springwood-I don't know who owns it. There was a cemetery on county land but my understanding is they really don't know who was buried there. In short, there is no one in charge of cemetery records. The Greenville Chapter of the South Carolina Genealogical Society has surveyed many of the cemeteries in Greenville County. Perhaps if you give us the name of the person you are searching for we can help. Suzanne C.
