Cathy Griffith Cathy, I am looking for a Minor Ballew b. 1824 in SC. He was in the 1850 Roane Co. TN Census. He was married to Esther Ballew (maiden name) do John Ballew and Catherine Melton. Minor and Esther named their son George Washington Ballew b. 1848. Also in Roane Co. TN there is a listing for Jacob Ballew who also named his son George Washington Ballew also b. 1848. Seems strange to me unless Minor and Jacob were brothers and their father's name was George. I know there are Ballews in Greenville, but I have never been able to make a connection. Minor's middle name may have been Anderson. Can anyone give me guidance re: where to look for the parents of Minor. TIA, Norma Cathy, I am also researching Lindsay and Griffith. .
