Joan, I do not have this information but I do know that there is deed information about this couple if you don't have it. I am looking for a Nancy Harbin who married Armestead King, probably in Greenville CO, SC. I have often wondered if this John and Nancy were her parents. Cori: Hope you have 'easy' access to this. My gps - Emiline Youngblood d. 1866 - Pickens, SC. I have no further information - perhaps Emily - she married, or had two children with Hiram Reaves/Reeves in Pickens, SC. Hiram was in Civil War. I have been unable to justify Hiram's parents: Asel and Clarinda Reaves/Reeves or Emiline Youngblood. If you have time, thanks. Hi Joan -- I found the following in 'Marriage and Death Notices from the Southern Patriot', vol. 1 (1815-1830), compiled by Teresa E. Wilson & Janice L. Grimes: "Issue of 30 July 1830...Died, at Baltimore, on the 30th ultimo, Thomas Harban, a native of Coventry, (Eng.) aged 44." I looked for John Harbin in all the sources we have for death notices from the 1850s, but I didn't find him. I also checked our Greenville County cemetery surveys to see if I could find his gravestone -- no luck there, either. If you have any questions about any of this, feel free to contact me off-list. Southern Patriot was a newspaper published in Greenville SC. I have the book Marriage and Death Notices from the Up-Country of South Carolina as abstracted by Brent H. Holcomb. This volume includes abstracts from the Southern Patriot beginning 1851. I believe the originals are in Charleston at the Charleston Library Society. No Thomas or John Harbin is found in the above book. I believe that James Russell's father may be a John Russell who also may have lived in TN, at least for a time. I can give more info given a bit of time, but since these lines may intersect hoping you might steer me toward the other Russell researchers. Any help is really appreciated, thank you!!!
