    3. Recently I requested the obit for D. W. Sheppard from the Greenville Public Library. I am trying to determine the parents of William Garrison Sheppard (his death certificate says unknown for parents and his obit doesn't say either). D. W. Sheppard and William Garrison Sheppard are buried near each other at Rocky Creek Baptist Church cemetery. I am hoping that I can find William Garrison Sheppard's parents through a sibling if I can locate any. D. W. Sheppard died 28 June 1926 in the City hospital. The obit indicates his wife is living but does not give her name. Four daughters-Mrs. B. B. Greer, Mrs. G. F. Ballenger, Mrs. P. F. Emory of Greenville and Mrs. J. B. Shelton of NC; three sons-J. H. Sheppard of NC, W. D. Sheppard of Kannapolis and W. P. Sheppard of Augusta GA; four brothers-H. V. Sheppard of Simpsonville, J. A., Jack and J. D. Sheppard of Greenville; three sisters-Mrs. H. V. Christopher and Mrs. Ed Vaughan of this city and Mrs. Mae Dillard of Simpsonville. If anyone recognizes this family and knows of a connection between them and William Garrison Sheppard, I would appreciate your input. Thanks-- Suzanne C. Matson
