(Russel) Fergason born 6/8/1825 South Carolina died 10/8/1886 Lawrence Co, AL (wife Sara Jane Harris) Clement Fergason born 1791 North Carolina died 5/25/1856 Lawrence Co, AL (wife Mary LNU) Robert Fergason born 1765 North Carolina died 1/1850 Greenville Co, SC (wife Cassander - believed to be full blooded Cherokee) Until this past week end, Robert Fergason/Ferguson was our brick wall. Based on some new information given to me by a professional genealogist from Nesbo, North Carolina, we now strongly believe the father of our Robert Fergason is: Andrew Ferguson born about 1724 Scotland died 7/25/1810 Lincoln Co, NC(wife Mary) who was the son of Robert Ferguson born about 1700 Scotland, died 12/3/1794 Tyrone/Lincoln Co, NC (wife Mary Fitzpatrick married about 1721 Scotland; married Sarah Sims about 1760 in PA probably York Co) who was the son of John Ferguson born about 1685 Scotland (wife Margaret Douglas).
