Floyd was born around 1800 in SC and according to the 1850 census taken in Greenville County, so was his father. I have reason to believe that my Floyd's father was the Joseph Devenport listed in the 1800 census in Greenville because Joseph was married to a Margaret Floyd, and Floyd also had a son named Joseph, among other things. The problem is it is believed that when Joseph died, Floyd was a small child so was not mentioned in the will, and his mother had no will either that anyone can find. I'm stumped on this one! Anyone who believes they can help me please email me! Thanks.

Perry, To be honest, my youngest transferred to Clemson, and I gave him the big computer and got a laptop. I haven't transferred all the files yet, but as soon as I get them done I'll see what I have. Holden Beach isn't far from us at all. Maybe we can meet up sometime and talk genealogy. I will certainly keep you in mind IF I ever find any helpful STONE material. Godspeed...
