He lived in Greenville District in the 1700s, he was married to a Cherokee woman named Jemima and fought at King's Mountain. I do not know his birth or death date. Supposedly he was from Scotland, probably Scots-Irish from Ulster. He had a son named William John Elliott or Elet etc. And possibly another son named Jesse. I know this isn't much to go on. Thought you might at least give me a clue as to where I might look.
Lillian, I received the same email. I doubt that she sent it. I received the same type of email from you and Pat on the Trans. Co. list last week, and I know yall didn't send them. This worm seems to send out emails on it's own. Also, give me a day or two and I'll see if I can come up with something on your Connie. I know that is a long time frame, but I don't have any way of cutting it down. Also I've been known for being off on things like this quite a bit. Do you know if there is a site address where I could go looking through to see if I could find it myself. When I don't know just what her last name would be, it would be a long drawn out process to go through the index looking for her name. I was hoping I could find her name on the SSDI, and I looked under the surname's of LEDBETTER, GOSNELL, & MOORE. We do know she md a Lee GOSNELL & a Jack MOORE. Not real sure in what order though either. Can you think of any other thing I could try. I should say that she was born in 1907. I know that there is a posibility that she could still be alive, too. Talk to you later. Lillian
