Taylor, Confederate soldier, 16th Regiment SC, Company I, moved to Mauldin area of Greenville County about 1870 - he was a blacksmith, and a farmer - he died March 18, 1899, and is buried at Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery, Holland Road, Simpsonville, SC His wife - I have Amanda Rebecca died January 8, 1900 also buried at Bethel - Bethel is also burial place for some of their children. Do you know what the family connection is between A. Ben Taylor is to David S. Taylor? Census reports say that both David S. Taylor, and A. Ben Taylor were born in Georgia - what do you have?

We know he married his wife there and also their first child Dorothy was born in Greenville. Leonard was originally from Bybee Tennesse, Cocke county. Leonard had a brother named Wilburn Moore but the notes I have says Wilburn was born 15 May 1915 Leadville Tennesse, and died in Morristown Tennesse. I have no further info on him.

There was a Dr. Epps in Eufaula, Ala who lived in one of the old hilltop Antebellum mansions that looked out over the Chattahoochee River toward the Georgia side. No relation, just knew of him. He's been dead at least 30-40 years. Just mentioned in case it might be helpful in your search. You might contact the Barbour County Historical Society in Eufaula.
