Cagle (1832-1910) was born in Buncombe Co., NC and spend his adult life in Greenville, SC. He served in the famed Butler Guards of the CSA from Greenville Co. during the Civil War. After the war he married Alice Sloan and they had four children, Osborne, Buelah, Alexander and Wilkins. Jacob and Alice are buried in Christ Church in Greenville. Would like to share information with anyone working on this family.

His birth date would be close to yours. The only thing I know for sure was his wifes' name which was "Marge" Margorie (Enloe/Mcgraw) Perkey. She married her first husband very young and "Perkey" would have been her second and she was probley in her late 20's, maybe early 30's when she married him.     3. Charley Quincy Holliday (1901-1961), son of Andrew M. Holliday, m Hettie Woodson, dau. of Henry Woodson & Florence Massey Charley buried at Cedar Shoals Bap. Ch. Hettie d 9-22-1998. She was b in Pelzer. Issue. (Records of Frank Herin) Henry Franklin Woodson was b 3 Feb 1879, d 5 Jul 1953. He was son of Azariah Woodson & Mary Elizabeth Davis. Henry m Florence Minerva Massey 25 Sep 1898, dau. of James P. Massey & Tiny Davenport. James Massey son of Elias Massey & Eunice Nix of Fork Shoals community in lower Greenville Co. He died at age of 81, buried Antiock Christian Church on Fk Shoals road a few miles s of Greenville. Elias & Eunice also buried at Antioch Church. Elias seved in CSA. Mrs. Tiny Davenport Massey d 27 May 1933 at age 83, dau. of Isaac & Tabitha (Tabby) Young. Buried Antioch Church. Henry m young being 19 yrs of age. His young wife Florence being 14 years. They settled on part of the Murry & Azariah Woodson land, eventually buying all of old Murry Woodson tract except 40a.. he spent his entire life there farming except one year they moved near Hartwell, Georgia when they were young. Henry was a successful well known farmer taking an active part in his comminity. He & John C. Cothran & James A. Holliday were responsible for the consolidation of the West Dunklin School. He died age 74, 5 Jul 1953 and is buried at Cedar Shoals Baptist Church. (More) Henry's children: Jennings Broadus Woodson b 19 Sep 1899 Bessie Leona Woodson McCuen b 23 Sept 1901, d 27 Aug 1947 Leila Mae Wood Woodson Lunsford b 23 Aug 1903 Hettie Bell Woodson Holliday b 18 Jul 1905 Clide L. Woodson b 21 Aug 1907, d 11 Dec 1907 Calvin Milford Woodson b 18 Mar 1909, d 2 Nov 1976 Marvin Clarence Woodson b 26 Oct 1911 Ralph Lester Woodson b 30 Mar 1915. >From Woodson Paper written 8 Jun 1958, by Marvin Woodson. Marvin lives on the Woodson place. Azariah Woodson was the son of Murry Woodson & his wife, Catherine/Katy. Murray/Murray Woodson's 2nd wife was Nancy Crawford Davis. She was the mother of Azariah's wife. Murray Woodson was the son of Tucker Woodson & his unknown first wife.
