When I would visit I spent many hours in the Greenville Public Library. Perhaps calling them and seeing if: 1- They can recommend anyone who has worked with them on projects that they might to recommend to help ypu identify your photos. 2- See if there is a Historical Society in the area to do the same. 3- Notify the S.C. Historical Society OR University of S.C. I have had my state university help me many times. They have identified documents, and assisted me in identifying an old settlement site. Good luck.

Surnames: Garrison Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UeB.2ACI/3143 Message Board Post: I am seeking information about William L. Garrison. I recently acquired a photograph of a young man in his late teens or early twenties. He is wearing a military looking uniform with the initials C.A.C. on the collar. The studio is Harry Wallace of Anderson, South Carolina. Hand written on the outside of the folder is "W.L. Garrison - 1921." On the interior is written "William Garrison - Peabody - 1921." It is likely that Peabody refers to Peabody College in Nashville, Tennessee - now a part of Vanderbilt University. My conclusions are that the photograph is of a William L. Garrison from South Carolina who attended a military school before attending Peabody College in Nashville, TN in 1921. It is also possible that he is pictured in a World War I uniform, but it just doesn't have that feel. The SSDI lists one likely individual: William L. Garrison (1902-1988) with a last residence of Greenville (Greenville County), South Carolina. Please drop me a note if any of this sound like your line. Thanks - Edward Carter, Murfreesboro, TN.

I was looking through the 1830 SC Ancestry census images for John Clark/Clarke. There were 26 of them in SC in 1830. There was one John Clark in the Big Fork section of Greenville Co. living by a John Salmon who, if the hash marks were right, was in his 60s with a wife in her fifties. The hash marks say this John Clarke was in his 20s where mine was probably in his thirties, but I'm curious since my John Clarke's wife was Jennie Sammons/Salmon. Does anyone have any idea who this John Salmon and/or John Clark were? Susan -- Susan C. Is there anyone that does or will do marriage look ups? It would be very much appreciated. Thanks
Hi, I need a marriage look-up for James Roy Payne and Marjorie Jeffries Kostoff married July 11, (1945?). These are my Maternal Grandparent's and I'd love to have a copy of their Marriage License.
