Johnson, your gggg.grandfather. I am two generations closer to him. He is my gg grandfather, and I descend through his son, Lodwick Tillman Johnson and his wife, Sarah Lemmel Frances Freeman. Their daughter, Frances Caroline Johnson was my grandmother. She married Young Henry Edward Powell, who came from Greenville Co.,SC to Anna, Collin County, TX with two of his brothers in 1890. After the death of my father in 1929, when I was 8 years old, I made my home with my grandfather. From living with him for many years, I am able to have many first hand stories of his and his wife's families (my grandmother had died in 1922). I can provide a great amount of data on the descendants of Lodwick Tillman if you are interested, and I would appreciate any information you have on the Johnsons. Chester A. Yes, sounds like it. It is not right there in the Brandon community, you go across the big bridge from there. The mill owned lots of acres and sold this section to private owner, individual. But I hear they have up "No trespassing" signs, though. SC cousins have been told they could be arrested if they just knock on the door to ask permission. (owner was on Melrose Street) It has been overgrown for so many years, in the winter would be only time somebody could get in there. This is from a SC cousin: >From Main St > turn right onto Acadamy St. ...then turn right onto Pendalton St...all the way through West Grnvl...when you come to a big bridge start looking to the right (RR runs underneath the bridge) and the cemetery is way down in the lower area -- to the right after you get across the bridge.
