    3. In case the database administrator is not a member of this list, you may want to direct your questions directly to the website administrator at the website address http://www.firstfamilies.org/ However, from searching this site before, I learned a little about it. It is a useful on-line compilation of references taken from other sources, published and otherwise. The reference for CD17 means that this ancestor's name was at one time accepted by the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century as an eligible ancestor. Any membership records relating to this person would be filed at that organization's offices. This also might be a good time to mention that some lineages that once were accepted for membership may not now be accepted, due to tighter modern-day standards. Again, the membership organization is the place to go for more information, to see if your ancestor's lineage has been proven or if the organization requires more documentation. The website for the Colonial Dames 17th Century is at http://www.colonialdames17c.net/index.html. They do not publish online resources. They do allow guests to do onsite research at Society headquarters in Washington DC. Hope this helps those who are interested in the Colonial Dames 17th century. WHEN YOU ENTER THE 1600s ANCESTORS DATA BASE be sure to look at the top of each data page for the link that takes you to the "Data Base Information Page". There you will find the list of codes and how to use them. This is MUST reading if you are to understand the Data Base and how to use it. 3. Dolores, I have an Elizabeth, d/o John Power and Rachel Duvall and sister of Alexander, who married Jacob Nabors. They had a son, John, who married Elizabeth Power, d/o Alexander Power and Martha Mills. John and Elizabeth were first cousins. Just about as clear as mud, huh? I do not have an Elizabeth married to a Samuel Neighbours. I have a Samuel, s/o Jacob and Elizabeth, born 1809 died 1833 married to Nellie Mae Unknown. I have a Samuel, s/o John and Elizabeth, born 1849. Nothing more on him. The problem you may be having is that, because of a book by McNees called The Descendants of Alexander Power, people do not know that JOHN POWER was the immigrant who came to Maryland in 1761 and then migrated to Laurens District, SC after 1744 and by June 19, 1776. 2. Dolores PRINGLE
    3. A. D., Attached is an email you set me a month or so ago, and I'm going back and looking at some things as this is the side of the family I've not done much work on. Can you please tell me this (and this is meant as no offense; I respect your research very much, but I can't trust my own brain a lot of the time!)? Is the Alexander POWER below the father of the Elizabeth POWER who md. Samuel NEIGHBORS or is the Elizabeth POWER, sister of Alexander below, the one who married S. NEIGHBORS??? Just wanted to be sure I had it right; some of my dates are enough off that it lead to confusion on my part. Thank you very much for your help! Dolores Pringle "A. 3. Please excuse me for jumping in here, Mary and Kelly, but I wanted to give Mary a shout since she is a cousin through Lucindaa GREER MOON. She was a sister to my GG-g'father William M. GREER. I would love to know anything that you, Mary, might know abt Lucinda. I don't have much info at all on her, but will gladly share what I do have. Kelly, if my memory serves me correctly (and it often does not!), I think you tie in to the GREERs also??? God bless, Dolores Miller Pringle - g'dau of Wm. E. Marchbanks GREER, b. GREER, SC
