Cleveland First Baptist Church was formerly Middle River Baptist Church, and is I believe one of the older Baptist Churches in the county. According to one of the Cleveland headstones there, J. Harvey Cleveland (1878-1951) deeded 3.5 acres for the church and cemetery to make official an 1803 donation by one of his ancestors to found the Middle River Baptist Church. (If anyone with more knowledge than I do has a correction or addition, please post!)

There was no headstone to identify them and the reason I think it might be true is the church at one time was a presbyterian church. Might you know if this is true or not. My line is Samuel,, b 1795. Would someone please look up a burial in Greenville for me in the Greenville County cemetery books: The people I am interested in are: Frances Elizabeth "Lizzie" Ward Keller/Kellar (b. abt. 1878) Jefferson "Jeff" Davis Keller/Kellar (b. abt. 1863-1865) I need where they are buried and the date they died. In 1930 they lived on the Dunean Mill Village. I really would appreciate any help on this family. Thanks, Carole

Have you found a Temperance Austin wife of Squire Barbare in your research. Temperance and Squire were my gggrandparents. Temperance and Squire would have been born in the early 1800's. Their children were born starting around 1839 thru 1869 according to cenus records and obituaries and cemetery records. I haven't been able to find a lot of info on Squire and Temperance.
