    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/UeB.2ACI/3903 Message Board Post: I've been posting periodically in hopes of finding anyone doing research on the Tyre Roberts family or Mincher Littler Reeves family of Greenville S.C. The Roberts lived in Greenville prior to the Civil War and the Reeves moved there from N.C. after the war. William, a son of Mincher, married Charlotte E. Roberts in 1875. I've notice Mary Ellen Adams posting here in 2000-2001; she is likely a cousin of mine, but haven't heard from her. Would like to hear from any descedant of either line-especially if you are doing genealogy research. Thanks - Laurel

(Birth certificates and marriage certificates started to be required within a few years of each other: I can never remember which was in which of these two years.) There are some newspaper transcriptions out there. Do you know the denomination they belonged to? That would help: denominational newspapers can be a good resource, but not usually that early in South Carolina, unless you can get the info out of the obituary. Elizabeth Whitaker
