I talked to my friend, Dan today. He said it has marriage dates in it that looks like it was written with a quill ink pen. He also said that John Todd's name is in it! Dan said it's in the top of his closet, and he will look for it. I will call Dan in the morning to see if he has taken time to look for it! I will reply back to you as soon as Dan gives it to me. GOD BLESS YOU! REV. THOMAS FOWLER SIMPSONVILLE, S.C.

Their known brothers were Nathan Mason, Harvey Mason, & Bluford Mason, & their mother was Lucinda (Harvey) Mason. Susan, Amanda, Bluford, & Harvey were all living with their mother in Greenville Co. at the time of the 1850 census. Lucinda (the daughter) was living in the household of Reuben Sudduth in Greenville Co. at that time. In 1860, Amanda was still living with their mother, & Harvey was living next door with his wife, Mariah James, & their children, but I haven't been able to locate either Lucinda (the daughter) or Susan. By 1870, Lucinda (the mother) was re-married to James Hudson, & they were living in Spartanburg Co., but I have no idea what happened to Amanda. Any information would be appreciated.

James, The only record I have on Moses Sullivan is that he married Milly Chandler. There is a book THE JENKINS OF NORTHERN NECK AND OLD 96 by Amelia Cleland Gilreath which goes into detailed information on the Sullivan{t} lines. The author (deceased) was a cousin of mine and I am related to the Suvillans distantly through the Cleland's. It is likely that you could locate this book in the Greenville Library. Hope this helps! Hi John, I, too, have Satterfield ancestors from Greenville cty, SC. I don't have much on them but this is what I have. My ggggrandparents were Jesse Satterfield and Martha (Patsy) Harris. They were the parents of Christine Mellissa Satterfield b abt 1823 m David William Richardson b abt May 1813 (of Greenville, SC) . Christine and David, along with some Richardsons and Satterfields moved to Walker cty, GA in 1848. Then they moved to Searcy/Stone cty Arkansas by 1856. My ggrandfather Franklin Pierce Richardson and his twin, Martha Jane were born in Arkansas in 1956. It seems likely that your Satterfields were related, especially as you use the Satterfield spelling rather than S"u"tterfield. Of course that is not proof. There are lots of Sutterfields and Satterfields in the Ozards of northern Arkansas. I don't know if this helps but it's what I have. Judy Curtis Jackson NC
Hi John, This is Terry. Not sure if I gave you my new email address as I am now in Lexington SC. On this Knight family - if you learn anything will you please pass it along? I have never understood the Knight and Medlock connections. I have again called James Earl Medlock and his son Joe in Summerfield. They said they would take the dna and for some reason they backed away. I would appreciate it if you would call and talk to them. Have another gentleman from Garrison Gibson line in SC , Keith Medlock, and he has done the same thing. Even tried his great uncle and his father whose addresses Keith gave me. Keith lives in TX now. I wish you would call Keith and explain how it might help since Newton named a son Garrison? His email is [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) . maybe man to man is the trick. I even offered to pay and he said he could easily afford it. Right now I'm going thru all my SC books looking at Littletons for Wanda. Her Thomas Littleton married Mary Matlock and they were in SC before moving on to TN and AL. Thanks Terry

Surnames: Satterfield Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UeB.2ACI/3937 Message Board Post: William Satterfield listed in 1830 census for Greenville has family 00111-21001 OR a male 10 to 15; 1 male 15 to 20; 1 male 20 to 30; 2 females less than 5; 1 female 5 to 10; 1 female 20 to 30. Has anyone researched this man/family? The family almost fits "my" William Satterfield who went to Walker Co., Ga. by 1840, being in Georgia by 1836. "My" William subsequently in 1853 moved on to north Texas to then Titus, now Morris and Franklin counties. The Greenville Co. 1830 William has two extra males that don't fit my family but could have been relatives as it looks like the suppossed wife in this 1830 listing may not be the mother of at least the 15 to 20 year old male-she seems too young. "My" William was born 1800 and married a Roseany or Rosanna b. 1804, both in South Carolina. Any ideas? Many thanks.
