Donna, Thank you very much for the information on Hannah POOLE and the fifth marriage and death of John Coachman. Did the information on Hannah POOLE also come from the Charleston Observer? The Coachmans were apparently well known rice planters in the Georgetown area. There were also, I understand, some Coachmans who became involved in the municipal government of Georgetown. If anyone is interested here are the five marriages of John COACHMAN: 1) Lydia TOWNES - m. before 1798 (I think she died giving birth to their first child); 2) Hannah GREEN - m. 1799 (4 children including my J.J. Coachman); 3) Mary GREEN - m. ca 1809 (Hannah's first cousin; had 2 children with John Coachman); 4) Sarah TYLER - m. ca 1815 (one child); 5) Charlotte A.
