I spent last week in Chester and Fairfield Counties visiting with some relatives and gathering data. I was advised to visit a Ms. D in Winnsboro to talk about genealogy. When I got to her house her mother 97 year old mother came over and through her arms around me. She said "I know you. You are Catheines boy.". Ms. D's mother is one of my 1st cousins once removed or something like that. I have updated my website which is at: http://www.hom.net/~caldwell/genology It was about 200 names. It is now over 600 names. I added a lot of data on the Gladden family. The data covers from about 1800 into the early 1900's. I also got a lot of data on the Dye family which has to connect to the Caldwells and Gladdens. So far I have not made the connection between that data and the Dyes I know so its not in my database. If someone needs the data let me know. If anyone has data on the Dyes let me know. Ms. D had a lot of information on the Caldwells that I needed but I did not get it this trip. I was prepared for some changes/additions but not for the volume she had. I was suppose to have a factory reconditioned lap top computer with me but it was not delivered in time for the trip.
