Archived Mail Lists....The mail lists are being archived at Rootsweb! Target date for this to begin is 1 December 1997. [Although some messages are already done, due to beta testing] Just wanted to let you know that what you send to the list is saved for future reference. Many queries and surnames, and other information that is posted would be lost without this feature. Now that will not happen, thanks to everyone at Rootsweb. All the information posted will be available for searching by you. I will keep you posted on this new feature for research. Remember it is not yet available but soon will be. If you don't want what you write to be saved and viewed by others later, then don't write it to the list. And please don't post copyrighted material to the list. It shouldn't be done anyway, but be aware that it will be difficult to remove it from the archives mail. We don't want to cause any difficulties. Thanks and keep up the good work! There have been quite a lot of listings that contain information others have asked about in the past. I just didn't have the harddisk space to save them! And couldn't individually contact everyone to ask if they wanted to post on the query pages!
