    3. This group of death certificates is full of conflicts regarding the Mayson relationships. Hope someone knows this family and can sort it out with real proof. Vernon [Methodist Church, McCormick Co, SC] UT: Blyths Services, Greenwood, SC I believe she married James Harrison Mayson, son of George Conway Mayson b. ca 1804 and either Susan Harrison Mayson or Susan Siebert Mayson (who I believe is the sister of Martha) ***See conflicts below: ---------------------------------------------- This seems to be her sister: Note difference in spelling of mothers name. Strom, McCormick, SC ***REGARDING this Susan Mayson. The following two death certificates are for the same person. However, there are important differences including the location of death, the location of birth for father [1850 census puts both born in SC], and the MAIDEN NAME of the mother. 1919 - Death Cert. #16786, Greenwood Co, SC John C. Sept 4, 1919, Greenwood Co, SC cause: cancer of the bowel informant: G. R. Mayson, Callison, SC buried: Mt. Vernon [Methodist church, McCormick, McCormick Co, SC] UT: H. B. Ellis, Greenwood, SC SAME PERSON - revised DC. 1919 - Death Cert. #17523, McCormick Co, SC John Calhoun Mayson Male, White, married, Farmer b. Jan 1847, SC [NOTE different date is given here] father: George Conley Mayson, SC mother: Susan E. SIEBERT, SC [NOTE: different maiden name] d. Sept 4, 1919, Greenwood twp, McCormick Co, SC [Different location of death] cause: stomach trouble informant: (blank) buried: Mt.Vernon [Methodist church, McCormick, McCormick Co, SC] UT: H. B. Ellis, Greenwood, SC Note the maiden name of the mother is different in the two DCs. The death cert. of the youngest brother of John Calhoun Mayson, lists Susan Harrision, which make me wonder if there were two marriages, and some of the children belong to Susan Siebert and some to Susan Harrison, or what????? 1944 - Death Cert. # 14212, Edgefield Co, SC William Wallace Mayson, Sr. Male, white, widowed b.
