    3. Drew, are you sure Alexander Edmunds married Lydia Cogburn.? According to the historical marker several miles west of McCormick on Highway 378, the first member of the Edmunds family who came to S.C. was Alexander Edmunds, born in 1763 in Virginia. His wife was Lydia Calhoun and they were parents of Samuel Calhoun Edmunds, Born 6 December 1793 and Died 6 June 1859 near McCormick. He was married 3 times and the father of 16 children.
