Randy, I double checked the date of death, and the DC is definitely Feb. 26, not the 23rd. I have a Lucy Hargrove, daughter of James Hargrove and Sarah Adams. Estimated dates from one known date in the family seems to make my Lucy too old to be his mother. But maybe they connect. The Hargroves I have connect to the family of Charles Carter md. When I changed the dates to fit the person, I get the following from the cemetery Records of Good Hope Baptist, Saluda Co, SC, but her birthdate still differs by day of birth from the transcription I was sent. According the the identifications in the Good Hope Baptist church cem. records sent to me by HC, all of these Children belong to Kathleen LEOPARD & M. L. (Manly) Butler, Sr. So the Manley many be short for Emmanuel. Butler, M.
