Dear Mr. Welch, There is a book on these Edmunds, if you do not already have a copy. EDMUNDS HISTORY 1710-1971 By Mary W. Edmunds. 321 Thomas Avenue, Thomson, Georgia 30824. She could be deceased by now. I think I got my copy from the author; I have had my copy a long time. Yellow hardcover approximately 5"X 9." No publication date or printer. 65 page plus an index. Lots of names and no places or dates of later more recent generations. It has the will of your query. I don't remember how I found out about this book or how long I have had it. Possibly I found out about it through the old FAMILY PUZZLERS GENEALOGY MAGAZINE probably after 1980. Definitely pre-internet! I have found no connection with these Virginia and mainly South Carolina Edmunds and my Edmonds (various Spellings) line from Francis Edmonds and Rachel _?_ who migrated from the Bannister River area of Halifax County, Virgnia, to Wilkes County, Georgia, c. 1784. He died with a will in Wilkes County, Georgia, in 1799. He first appeared in Halifax County, Virgnia, c. 1768. I am originally from Georgia and my Edmonds line stayed at Rayle, Wilkes County, Georgia, while others migrated west. Descendants with the Edmonds surname now live in Greene County, Georgia, and other places west. I have a separate GEDCOM just on this Edmonds family. Two of Francis's and Rachel's daughters married Baileys also from Halifax County, Virginia.
