Obituary of Walter Lee Gunter, The State, Columbia, Richland Co, SC, May 9, 2007 GASTON - A Graveside Service for Walter Lee Gunter, 61, will be held Thursday, May 10,2007, at 4:00 PM in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 9,2007 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. Mr. Gunter died Monday, May 7, 2007. Born in Saluda County, he was the son of the late Govan and Sulamae Powell Gunter. He was employed by Jackson and Elder Steel Company and a lifetime member of Briar Creek Hunting Club. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Frances Ranson Gunter; sons, Rodger, David and Walter, Jr., Gunter, all of Gaston; brothers, Ronald and Donald Gunter of Gaston; numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
