More Death Certificates from the microfilmed records of the originals, located at the Camden Archives and Museum, Camden, SC 1925 - Death Cert. #2370 Greenwood, SC Minnie Lee Butler Female, White, single b. April 3, 1903, SC father: Ned Butler, SC mother: Ann Hastings, SC d. Feb. 3, 1925, South Greenwood (city & twp), Greenwood Co, SC cause: post typhoidal (toxemia); typhoid fever informant: Ned Butler, South Greenwood, SC buried: Greenwood, SC, Feb 4, 1925 UT: H. B. Ellis, Greenwood Co, SC I found two Minnie Lee Butlers in the cemetery records, one with no dates; the other does not match. However, they are buried in Saluda Co. cemeteries: Good Hope and Henry Butler Family Cem. Don't know where in Greenwood this Minnie Lee is buried. Not in the few Greenwood Cem. records that I have. Maybe the new Greenwood Cem. book will tell us when it finally comes out. Of course she does not show up in census records with Ned and Ann Hastings Butler. Does anyone have Ned Butler's Death cert. d. 1936? If so, please send and I won't have to look him up. I have two Ned Butlers born about the same time, one with wife [from the above DC] and another as son of James Pinkney and Nannie Waits [census records]. I think I can merge them, but not sure. I am not able to find him in census records after 1900 Greenwood Co, SC, Brooks twp, p. 349A, hh#28/28, with parents, age 12. CENSUS: 1900 Greenwood Co, SC, Brooks twp, p. 349A, hh#28/28 James P. Eva Counts, Prosperity, SC Middle name hard to read, but one of the choices I came up with was Bowers. Since that is his mother's name, I figured that was what it said. The informant is anyone's guess. Archives has some Newberry Co. records, so I will see if Herman is listed and St. Luke's is identified. ------------------------------------------ 1919 - Death Cert. #20638, Saluda Co, SC Martha Caroline Griffith Female, white, widow lived: Greenwood RFD, Greenwood Co, SC b. don't know, age about 68, b.
