Edgefield County List: I am a descendant of Howell JOHNSTON that settled in Lincoln County, Tennessee. It is believed that he migrated from South Carolina to Tennessee. He was born 26 May 1793. It has been passed on to me that he may have been a land surveyor by trade. I noticed that there is a Johnston community in Edgefield County, does anyone know any of the history of this community and if there may have been JOHNSTON Family that settled in this community?
