I am looking for information on the following Coursey whose obit was published in "The STATE", Columbia, SC on April 2, 2004. I am trying to identify his parents and connect them to the Coursey family of Old Edgefield Dist., SC and the Powell family as well. Edward Coursey Graniteville - A memorial service for Edward 'Bo' Coursey is 4 pm Sunday at St. John UMC; visitation to follow in the Bessie Pearl Williams building. Napier Funeral Home is in charge. Born in Augusta (GA) to James and Eula Powell Coursey, he died March 31, 2004. Surviving: Wife, Dorothy Rozier Coursey; children: Angela Martin, David Sr., Michael Coursey; Grands: David Jr., H. Nicole, Adrienne Coursey; two sisters. There may be a better more detailed obit in the local paper or the Augusta Chronicle. Would appreciate the info. from either of those. Questions: Is this family a black or white family? What Coursey line does his father James connect to? What Powell line does his mother Eula connect to? Where did he die? in Augusta, GA?
