If the list admin will not answer e-mails from list members, report it to rootsweb and they will contact the list admin to insure they are still running the list. I subscribe to this list and have no trouble in opening each and every message posted. I know from the sending address it is coming from SCEDGEFI-L and that is enough to make me want to read the message. It does not have to have my particular family name in the subject line. Any name is important since my ancestors did not live in a vacuum and their neighbors may provide vital information regarding my family. It is enough for me to see a name or subject in the subject line. I would open it if it had nothing in the subject line just because it is from an area of interest. I receive at least a hundred messages a day and haven't any trouble with looking at what another person is reporting. I also am the administrator of a list and do not dictate to the members what to place in the subject line. Whatever they chose is okay with me as long as they post.
