I'm addressing this because of some questions that have come to me recently. I hope it is helpful to someone. The information recorded on the 1820 U.S. Federal Census includes: a. name of head of family b. number of free white males in the following age brackets- for males - under 10, age 10-15, age 16-18, age 16-25, age 26-45, over age 45 *Notice that there could be an overlap from column 3 to colum 4. Thus any male listed in column 3 would also be included in column 4. The recorded information for females does not include the 16-18 bracket.
