Not in the walls... We have moved most of those into the climate controlled archives and are slowly and meticulously opening and documenting what was in the various boxes. We have moved about 50 or so boxes and there are others to be moved, but we have to open and document all of the ones we have moved first. We are applying for grants to help with this work and will as soon as we can microfilm those documents and have them available for all to research. Some of these documents, which are in pristine condition, date to before the formation of Edgefield county in 1785. Constance T.
