I am not related to these folks but found the following deeds while viewing microfilms for Bibb Co., AL. I have abstracted the deeds rather than transcribing them completely. Deed Book E, Perry Co., AL p. 356 Edgefield Dist., SC Benjamin Gallman of Edgefield for love and affection to grandson Benjamin G. Moseley, one negro boy Preston about 7 years of age. If Benjamin dies without child, property is to be divided between Elizabeth A. Moseley's other children [not named]. 23 May 1839 Benjn Gallman (seal) Wit: J. Terry [James] O. Towls Proven by Oliver Towles in Edgefield on 25 May 1839. Recorded in Edgefield book AAA pg. 195 on 25 May 1839. Edgefield Dist., SC. Benjamin Gallman for love and affection to daughter Elizabeth S. Moseley, negro woman Charlotte and one child Pierce. Charlotte about 22 years of age, and Pierce about 2 years of age. If Elizabeth dies without child, the property is to be divided amongst said Benjamin Gallman's other children. 23 May 1839 Benjamin Gallman (seal) Wit: J. Terry O. [Since I am unfamiliar with this family, I can't explain why Benjamin has a grandson who is a child of Elizabeth A. Moseley, and then a daughter who is Elizabeth S.
