Just curious . . . do you know where the Pickens middle name came from . .. I have another John JONES (md. Margaret BENSON in Pennsylvania in 1771), died in Edgefield in 1796. His grandson was named Baylor Pickens JONES (son of Jonathon Shelby JONES and Epsa Dilla JONES) . . . always thought the Pickens middle name might be significant.
